I've had conversations with a number of individuals this week who have said they will be staying away from gyms/studios in January. Purely to stay away from all of the January madness in these places!
It's such a shame that individuals feel the need to stay away from these places due to the overcrowding and difficulty in getting booked into classes or having to wait around the weight rack in the gym. But I completely understand.
As far as I am aware, every gym/studio allows an unlimited number of individuals to sign up to memberships, with no guarantee of these individuals actually being able to make use of facilities freely. Because unlike the unlimited memberships given out, space is limited.
If you are taking a break from the January madness, don't forget that you can still stay fit and healthy by working out at home or going for a walk/run outside.
And if you would like to continue taking advantage of group classes through January without all of the chaos, you are welcome to join me at the yoga classes I offer in Whitton.
I offer a 10 class pass (valid for 3 months from date of first use). The class pass guarantees your space will remain reserved for the duration of the 3 months in your chosen class. I also limit the number of individuals in class to a comfortable number, to ensure that everyone has enough space to move in class. Yes, that means you can take your arms out wide without knocking the person next to you! And yes, it means I am limiting my own 'income'. However, your comfort is more important to me than being greedy!
