Learn the key fundamentals of practicing yoga to allow for a safe and confident yoga practice in this 6 week course. The course predominately focuses on the physical element of yoga to ensure you can practice safely when you take part in classes beyond this course. The course will also introduce other elements of yoga: meditation, breathing exercises, chanting and mudra.

Previous course attendees have ranged from complete beginners to individuals who have been practicing for a number of years.

COURSE CONTENT

  • How to avoid the most common yoga injuries and mistakes made in yoga

  • Learning the correct alignment of sun salutations and key poses

  • Modifying postures to suit your body

  • Breathing exercises and meditation

  • A full yoga class, bringing together the techniques learnt on the course


WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Yoga mat

  • Yoga strap (or belt)

  • Yoga blocks (or couple of thick, sturdy books)

  • Blanket
