Founder of Neetu Yoga
Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner and Kirtan Leader
Wellbeing has been a key part of my life and I have always been drawn towards helping others. When I first started practicing yoga, I loved the space yoga created in allowing me to de-stress and slow down. It was the one time in the week where I was able to make time just for myself and really tune in to how I was feeling. I also noticed how much better my body felt and how much more energy I had.
I first setup Neetu Yoga as an individual. My main driver for setting up my own classes was to ensure that I was delivering yoga classes I believed in and felt true to yoga's roots. I was organising the classes, marketing and teaching. After successful growth of these classes, I introduced other yoga teachers to take on some of the classes under Neetu Yoga.
It was then by natural progression that I felt more compelled to use my time to teach private yoga classes rather than organising and teaching group classes. It's in the private yoga classes that I see the real connection and growth in individuals take place. So now, I invest most of my energy on teaching just private yoga classes - the place where I feel I can make the most difference.
I have also trained as a Reiki Practitioner and I have been actively involved in leading Kirtan groups over the last 12 years.
The mantra Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu is at the core of my teachings. This mantra translates to 'May all beings be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and freedom for all'. It is my intention that you feel this mantra radiating through the classes I teach.
